There's more to us than just business
There's more to us than just business
One of the foundational pillars of RCG mortgage is and always has been education. We feel the consumer is undereducated and, many times, anxious and confused when it comes to the home-buying process and we do all we can to change that. We like to educate both our Realtor Partners and clients on buying, selling, and refinancing.
There is way more to RCG Mortgage than just the business element. There’s the human element.
We’ve also found, through the first-hand experience of our Realtor Success Specialist, Christina Mathieson-Segura, that education about Breast Cancer is not only important but necessary.
According to the American Cancer Society, “the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 13%. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance she will develop breast cancer.. Breast cancer death rates have been decreasing steadily since 1989, for an overall decline of 43% through 2020. The decrease in death rates is believed to be the result of finding breast cancer earlier through screening and increased awareness, as well as better treatments. However, the decline has slowed slightly in recent years.”
There are a lot of not-for-profits that have promoted research for cancer, but there aren’t many that promote education and positivity, When a woman is afraid of the treatment, she’s less inclined to get tested. We believe this awareness may help save the lives of those dear to us.
In my own life, my stepmom found out that my dad was experiencing physical signs that something wasn’t right. My dad didn’t tell her right away. Because my stepmom pushed my dad to see a doctor he was tested for bladder cancer and it was caught in time. Had he continued another three months, they said it would have spread and he would’ve potentially had like three to six months to live.
She saved his life. That’s the thing, he just didn’t want to get tested. He didn’t want to admit it. He was scared. We’re all scared. And if his wife didn’t push him to get tested, he probably wouldn’t be here.

Mission
At “You’ll Be OK Too, Inc.,” our mission is to provide unwavering support and empowerment to women diagnosed with breast cancer, guiding them through their treatment journey and beyond. As an organization founded by breast cancer survivor Christina Mathieson-Segura, we understand the profound impact this diagnosis can have on women and their families. Through our online presence and community engagement, we strive to achieve the following objectives: Inspire through Stories of Triumph: We are committed to sharing positive and inspiring stories of women who have courageously faced breast cancer, conquered the disease, and are now thriving in their lives. By showcasing these stories on our Facebook page, we aim to spread hope, strength, and optimism, showing that there is life beyond breast cancer. Empower Families with Knowledge: We believe that knowledge is a powerful tool in the face of breast cancer. Our organization is dedicated to providing valuable information, resources, and support to the families of those living with a breast cancer diagnosis. By following our Facebook page, families can access vital information, find solace, and discover ways to foster positivity and hope throughout their loved one’s journey. Promote Early Detection and Fearless Action: Early detection is paramount in the successful treatment of breast cancer. We strive to create a world where women are not afraid of the treatment process and are motivated to seek regular screenings. By fostering an environment of support, education, and empowerment, we encourage women to prioritize their health and take proactive steps towards early detection and intervention. Through our online community and social media presence, we aspire to build a network of compassion, resilience, and empowerment. Together, we can create a space where no woman feels alone in her breast cancer journey, where families find strength, and where fear is replaced by hope.
Goal
Our goal is to provide all individuals dealing with Breast Cancer a platform for their stories, sharing their feelings and details of their journeys that only their Pink Sisters would understand.
When women, and men, are being treated for breast cancer, they’re often disconnected from the outside world. Our mission is to provide hope.
This donation will help a lot to achieve our mission.
You’ll Be OK Too solves two specific problems.
1. For those who are deathly afraid of the treatment for breast cancer and the effects of Chemotherapy, Radiation, hormone therapy, and surgery – they often don’t get checked until the cancer they fear has taken a foothold in their bodies. When women and men understand that they will be ok and be able to not only survive but thrive, they will be more inclined to seek diagnosis and treatment.
2. For those already diagnosed, it’s a very scary, anxiety-riddled place. The minute the diagnosis of “You Have Breast Cancer” is uttered to us, we are thrown into a whirlwind of inexplicable fear. We don’t know where to start, who to call, what to do, or even if we’ll live. You’ll Be OK too provides the testament of other women and the positivity we all need to get through this and become thrivers as well.
